Noelle and Anabelle
First Idea : Anabelle is a human anxiety version of Noelle meaning she’s not exactly real but she’s very real in Noelle’s eyes. In the short, she would be feeding Noelle lies and altering what Noelle sees. For example, if she were to say “your hands are disgusting looking, just look at them,” an image of Noelle’s hands would flicker from ordinary hands to horrendous looking hands.
The Goddess of Fire i.e Pele
Second Idea : An abstract piece going along with the piece “Goddess of Fire,” arranged by Steven Reineke. This being a 10min piece, I would shorten it to around 2min and capture my favorite parts. I would attempt to give the shapes more purpose other than going with the beat of the music and have it assemble the dress that the Goddess of Fire, Pele, is wearing and possibly have it assemble another minor character who goes from being mesmerized by Pele to being terrified by her.
On October 6, 2017, Katie Waugh presented her exhibit Reiterations at the Bret Llewellyn Gallery at Alfred State College. The meaning of reiteration is the action of repeating something, most times for emphasis or clarity. Waugh’s art revolves around the process of repetition, deconstruction and reassembling. She enjoys breaking down things that have an order. For most of her pieces, Waugh utilized a Mamiya RV 67 camera and controlled the exposure and color through her camera. She also used Final Cut Pro 7 for finishing touches.

These discussions gave us an opportunity to not only speak openly in a group about our thoughts but to also expand our meaning of art, what it means to create it and find a reason as to why we create it.
