In the depths of Australia lies a mystical town known as Shallowhollow. In this town, everyone is given a special ability at birth. As they get older, they decide what they do with their ability. Unfortunately, most people choose to use their ability for evil. However, Kendall Krueger wants to use her power for good rather than evil. With her ability of psychokinesis, Kendall decides to become a magician, not only to cope with the evil, but to show the youth that their special ability can go towards something much more fulfilling than the evil that occurs in Shallowhollow. Kendall, from time to time, also uses her ability as an act of karma when someone is using their ability for evil.
Kendall Krueger is no regular teenager. Her psychokinetic ability is one that Shallowhollow hasn’t seen in a very long time. This frightens the town, for the last person to possess a similar ability led to the near destruction of Shallowhollow. For 16 years, Kendall has been trapped in her home, being taught by her father, who possess the ability of teleportation, to have control over her very special ability, along with other normal school subjects, as her father was a teacher. Her mother, who possess the ability of metamorphosis, ran out on the family when Kendall was 4 when she discovered the evil perks of her ability. This event led Kendall to want to use her ability for good, unlike her mother. When her father realized that she had finally mastered her ability, he sent her to further her education at the School of Normalcy. Kendall agrees, seeing her golden opportunity to finally leave the house and make friends.
Being trapped in her house for so long, she has gained unique qualities. She’s creative, lazy and rebellious. I guess these traits were inevitable, seeing as she’s been enclosed in one place for such a long time with her overprotective father. Just like any teenager, she yearns for freedom and excitement. Her appearance is quite unique as well. Due to her lack of outdoor freedom, her father agreed to give her freedom over her body and allows her to do as she wishes with her physical appearance. Taking advantage of the only freedom she has, Kendall decides to dye her hair pink and always wears a tie. Kendall tries to remain humble about her rare ability, however she likes to brag and show off. But is her ability as special as she thinks it is? Is her ability a gift? Or is it a curse?
